fleetcompetence Group Appoints Matthias Engel as Global Sales Director

In this function, Matthias Engel will be responsible for the development of new customer relations in close collaboration with the Group’s global partner network.

Matthias Engel has been active in the German and international fleet management industry for almost 25 years. After working for various German leasing companies, he headed the Alphabet Sales Team in Germany. This was followed by almost 10 years at the vehicle manufacturer Opel, where Engel increasingly took on international roles up to the position of the European Leasing & B2B Sales Director. Before joining fleetcompetence Group, he was responsible for sales in the region Germany-Austria-Switzerland at the international fleet management company ARI Fleet Services.

As part of his role, Matthias Engel will integrate the international network of more than 55 specialized consultants into his activities. This enables us to identify customer needs at an early stage and to propose customized fleet consulting solutions – on a national, regional and global level.”

The fleetcompetence Group supports fleet operators in developing, implementing and monitoring their international fleet strategy. The typical project steps include a detailed potential analysis, the definition of an international fleet (electrification) strategy, execution of tendering programs, policy design and the execution of the implementation of identified optimisation potentials, including tool-based results monitoring.
