Element Financial Acquiring GE Capital’s Canadian Fleet Portfolio
Element Financial Corp. and GE Capital have entered into a definitive asset purchase agreement where Element is acquiring GE Capital’s Canadian fleet portfolio; and the two companies form a strategic alliance to deliver comprehensive vehicle fleet financing and management services to cross-border customers in Canada and the US. Element will acquire GE Capital’s existing Canadian fleet portfolio for C$570 million, along with the GE Capital Canada fleet operational resources required to service this portfolio. Hertz and Navigation Solutions Add Innovations to Hertz NeverLost
The Hertz Corporation and Navigation Solutions, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hertz, today announce the newest innovations to Hertz NeverLost travel planning tools, creating an easier way for users to plan trips and explore cities. Among the enhancements, Hertz has partnered with Waterkeeper Alliance to offer the first-ever “Waterkeeper Swim Guide,” a new data source that will tell users where beaches are located, which are safe for swimming, and what’s unique about each beach. ParkMe Displayed at Telematics Detroit with Audi and Inrix
ParkMe, a provider of real-time parking information, is delivering live parking information with a new Audi and Inrix real-time navigation service. This marks the first time that real-time parking is made available in U.S. cars. At 2013 Telematics Detroit, Inrix is demonstrating with Audi the ease for drivers to add new services with its real-time navigation service that helps drivers find and navigate to the entrance of the closest least expensive parking location to their destination.
