Autonet Mobile, a San Francisco-based startup wireless technology company, is expected to announce an agreement to provide an optional wireless access point, also known as a Wi-Fi hot spot, to Avis Rent a Car customers by March, 2007. Motorists electing to take advantage of the high speed Internet connection will be charged $10.95 per day for a notebook-size portable device that plugs into the car’s power supply.
