March prices improved for 2nd month in row in March, however wholesale price growth was mild and followed pattern typically seen in period. Prices on used vehicles up to eight years-old saw higher gains than in February – 1.2% in March versus 0.8% in February; however, March gain was modest compared to year earlier when prices for segment increased nearly 3%.

Similar to February, 2.2% Rise in Compact Car Prices Highest of Any Segment:
While mid-size cars and vans followed once again w/ respective increases of 1.3%.
March’s $3.71 Per Gallon Gasoline Showed Increase and Helped Compact Prices:
Fuel prices began to recede towards end of month and expectations are that they will remain flat over coming months.
Large Pickups and Compact Utilities Saw Price Gains of 1% in March:
Large SUV and mid-size utility prices improved by combined average of 0.1%.
