Few of us are in positions of absolute power at our workplaces; yet, lacking that power, we still very often need to influence others. Looking ahead to the 2016 AFLA Conference in September, we note that leadership coach Connie Dieken, CSP, is slated to speak at a session on Tuesday, September 20th: Three Habits to Influence Others and Make Things Happen, Regardless of Position or Power.
So, speaking of influence, could we please insist that the worldwide Climate Change Accord be an essential discussion in the upcoming general election? We have just one question for the deniers: “What if you’re wrong?” Their children and their grandchildren will be just as affected as our own by their unwillingness to answer that question. The very life of our planet is at stake — how can this be ignored?
