Driving while impaired, whether through fatigue, poor eyesight or the influence of alcohol or drugs, is highly risky behavior which results all too frequently in death and serious injury. Despite common claims that drink driving is now socially unacceptable for instance, more than 8% of road deaths in the UK in 2011 were caused by drivers impaired by alcohol: 166 lives needlessly taken. Drug driving, fatigue and uncorrected eyesight are also devastating risks, which could be easily eliminated by changing driver attitudes and behavior.
This one-day conference is an essential event for road safety professionals working in the fields of driver impairment education and enforcement, and fleet managers with responsibility for driver risk management. Click here to learn more.
