Sixt Aligns Sales Structure

Sixt bundles all products in the Corporate Customer segment to systematically expand digitalization

  • Vinzenz Pflanz takes over direction of the newly created Group Sales division
  • Oliver Popkowitz takes over direction of the SME & Digital Sales division
  • Both divisions report directly to Chief Sales Officer Konstantin Sixt

Sixt is aligning its sales structure to meet its corporate clients’ changing mobility needs. All Group products, for instance, including car rental, RideHailing, leasing, fleet management and innovative mobility products, are to be bundled and distributed to corporate customers under unified management.

Effective immediately, Vinzenz Pflanz is now tasked with heading national and international corporate customer sales as Senior Vice President of Group Sales, a newly created position reporting to Konstantin Sixt, Chief Sales Officer of Sixt SE. This is Sixt’s next logical step towards offering customized mobility solutions from a single source.

Oliver Popkowitz, now Senior Director of SME & Digital Sales, assumes immediate responsibility for the Global Sales & Marketing for Small- and Medium sized Enterprises (SME) division, reporting directly to Konstantin Sixt.

Konstantin Sixt, Chief Sales Officer (CSO) of Sixt SE, said: “Sixt is the comprehensive mobility provider. As the only provider on the market, we can offer our customers needs-oriented mobility from our cornerstones of car rental, new mobility services and leasing, whether for six minutes, six days, six months or six years. Our unique ability is increasingly reflected in sales, offering our corporate customers significant added value.

“We are convinced that Mr. Vinzenz Pflanz and Mr. Oliver Popkowitz will be driving forces in their new positions, continuing the international development of our offers for corporate clients.”

Vinzenz Pflanz has more than 20 years of experience in the international mobility industry, boasting an extensive network of contacts among both fleet managers and the vehicle and fleet industries at large. He has served as Chief Sales Officer of Sixt Leasing SE since January 2016 following six years as Chief Commercial Officer of Fleet Logistics International where he directed Sales, Account Management, IT, Quality Management, Implementation, Legal and Procurement. Mr. Pflanz has also helped found and manage an independent leasing company as well as steer a leasing group’s internationalization in 12 countries as General Manager.

Oliver Popkowitz has worked for Sixt SE in the Car Rental division since 2013 with several responsibilities in corporate customer sales. He has headed international corporate customer sales for the eight European Sixt subsidiaries outside Germany since 2015. He studied business administration (Dipl. Kfm.) at the University of Hamburg and Nottingham University BusinessSchool. After a tenure as a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), his path led to Groupon Germany in 2011 where he oversaw sales in Northern Germany.
