Shell Fleet Solutions, along with NAFA, administered a survey among NAFA fleet owners, operators, managers and drivers about top trends and priorities for fleets in 2024. The results are the basis for a new and vital Shell Fleet Solutions whitepaper. The survey examined such crucial fleet issues as total cost of ownership (TCO), EVs, safety, sustainability and business growth. Important queries included:
- What are the top concerns for your fleet in 2024?
- Which areas took the most time in fleet operations?
- Which areas of your fleet delivered highest pride and profitability?
Among the key findings were the following:
-
- 89% agreed or strongly agreed total cost of ownership was the top concern/priority for 2024. Safety came in second as a top priority (86%), and efficiency management (82%) in third.
- Related to total cost of ownership, most fleet respondents are dedicated to finding new solutions to make their fleet more efficient, with 81% strongly agreeing that it is a priority.
- 65% of respondents saw building a more sustainable fleet or reaching fleet sustainability goals as a key priority. Meanwhile, over half of respondents said that they will invest in initial or additional EVs over the next year.
