The Automotive Fleet and Leasing Association (AFLA) annual conference was held to rave reviews September 7-10 at the M Resort Spa & Casino in Las Vegas. A record attendance of over 475 fleet professionals turned out for the chance to network with colleagues and gain valuable insight on key industry issues.
The theme of the 2014 conference; Learn, Innovate, Win: Improving Your Odds for Fleet Success, showcased industry-related presentations, keynote speakers and panel discussions. Mike Pitcher, President and CEO of LeasePlan USA, highlighted the importance of eliminating distracted driving, while John Davis of Motorweek discussed the values of innovative automotive technologies. Past recipients of the Fleet Manager of the Year award shared lessons they had learned during their careers, and Vince Poscente taught everyone how to reach big goals in short order. AFLA will continue to build on this momentum at the 2015 annual conference, which will be held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tennessee from September 13-16.
Based in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, AFLA promotes growth, expansion and professionalism within the fleet industry by providing education, research, technical standards, representation and advancement of member interests. AFLA has nearly four hundred members representing all industry segments, including fleet managers and sourcing professionals, auto manufacturers and dealers, remarketers, maintenance and repair companies and many other specialized suppliers.
The organization also hosts a Mid-Year Forum, educational webinars, releases industry whitepapers and offers opportunities for members to network with key leaders throughout the fleet industry. For more information on the conference and everything AFLA has to offer, please visit www.afla.org.
