NAFA is synonymous with excellence in the fleet industry. During our Institute and Expo, NAFA holds the Fleet Excellence Awards (FLEXYs), an annual award program dedicated to recognizing the best and brightest in the fleet management profession.
The FLEXYs shine a spotlight on those who impacted fleet in both the corporate and public fleet segments during 2016.

Fleet Excellence Awards open to the public include:
Outstanding Achievements in Fleet Management (Corporate & Public Fleets) This award recognizes fleet managers who have had outstanding achievements or accomplishments during the past year that either set high examples or provided ground-breaking ideas for the industry.
- Excellence in Sustainability Accomplishments (Corporate & Public Fleets) This award recognizes fleet managers who have made significant strides during the past year in implementing sustainable/green efforts for his/her employer’s fleet operations.
- Excellence in Fleet Safety (Corporate & Public Fleets) This award recognizes fleet managers who have made significant strides in implementing safety efforts for his/her employer’s fleet operations during the past year. The Award may also be presented to an organization or entity that has made significant contributions in this field.
- Excellence in Fleet Leadership (All Fleet segments) This award recognizes one fleet manager’s supervisor or upper manager who has provided outstanding leadership and direction to the fleet manager or has otherwise contributed to the fleet’s success. (Please note: only upper management with supervisory responsibilities over fleet professionals are eligible for this award.)
How to Enter: You will have the ability to submit nomination entries through the FLEXY submissions portal found at www.nafainstitute.org. Please provide thorough supporting details as to why the individual should be considered for the FLEXYs (Examples: data reflecting pre- and post-efforts benchmarks, percentage of greenhouse gas output curbed, result of efforts to reduce risk and safety concerns, etc.).
You will be asked to include the potential nominee’s name, job title, and place of employment. However, this is information that will not be submitted to the award judges, allowing the decision-making to be “blind” and impartial. This information is necessary for NAFA to inform individuals that they have been chosen as a finalist. Also, please understand that all nominees’ personal information including prior winning of awards will also be removed for the purpose of impartiality.
