Nissan is recalling nearly 14,000 of its 2012 and 2013 Altimas due to a steering defect that could cause drivers to lose control of the vehicle. The recall filed with National Highway Traffic Safety Administration applies to certain 2013 models as the Altima was redesigned for the 2013 model year. NHTSA also announced an investigation into “a complete loss of steering capability” on 70,000 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe crossovers.
