Merchants Fleet Named Recipient of 2023 Top Supply Chain Projects Award by Supply & Demand Chain Executive

Merchants Fleet today announced that Supply & Demand Chain Executive has named Merchants’ ReadyFleet program as one of the winners of this year’s Top Supply Chain Projects. The award profiles innovative projects that are designed to automate, optimize, streamline, and improve the supply chain.

“Our team is dedicated to actively listening to our clients’ needs, and the ReadyFleet program reflects our commitment to providing them with a level of flexibility and convenience you don’t see in the fleet industry.” said Merchants Senior Vice President of Fleet Sales and Strategic Solutions, Brad Burgess. “ReadyFleet has been a lifeline for clients who struggled to obtain vehicles during the supply chain vehicle shortages. It’s a truly unique service that sets us apart, and we are honored to be acknowledged for our innovative approach to fleet optimization.”

The Merchants ReadyFleet program provides fleet clients with exclusive access to a designated pool of pre-owned vehicles to help meet their immediate vehicle needs. ReadyFleet vehicles are available for fast, nationwide delivery directly to the clients’ location, and include a variety of vehicle types and models, many of which are upfitted specifically for field and delivery applications. The ReadyFleet program offers an industry-first level of flexibility, allowing clients to supplement their core fleets with short or long-term lease options, allowing clients to choose the financing options that best meets the needs of their business.

“From demand planning and forecasting, to implementing the ultimate in warehouse automation, the past 12 months has seen companies within the supply chain and logistics space upgrade, enhance, adopt and adapt in order to achieve greater efficiency along the chain,” says Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Supply & Demand Chain Executive and Food Logistics. “That’s why it’s important today’s supply chains run on collaboration.”
