Johan Verbois Partners with the fleetcompetence Group.

fleetcompetence Group Release

The remarketing expert will support the Group to further expand its consulting solutions in the area of residual value management

Residual values are key drivers of the Total Cost of Ownership for fleets, and thus have a major impact on the competitiveness of the lifecycle costs of a vehicle. Consequently, a holistic concept to manage residual values linked to a sophisticated remarketing strategy is essential for OEMs, lessors, as well as fleet operators.

As a result of the impact of the pandemic, the focus on residual values has been further increasing. On this background, fleetcompetence has expanded its service offering by joining forces with Johan Verbois.

Since 2014, Johan Verbois has served as Managing Partner at 5S Consulting, which specializes in consulting, coaching and training on Remarketing and Residual Value Management. Previously, Johan was Director Fleet & Remarketing at Toyota Motor Europe. Prior to that, Johan held various positions in Sales & Marketing with Opel, Peugeot & Mercedes, possessing over 35 years of automotive experience. He is also Board member of CARA, the European Car Remarketing Association.

“Johan has a great deal of industry expertise, which perfectly contributes to our international fleet consulting services,” says Thilo von Ulmenstein, Managing Partner fleetcompetence Group. “Having worked for several major OEMs, Johan knows about the specialties of the remarketing business within the automotive industry. His deep knowledge of the sensitivities of the residual value management both for fleet suppliers and fleet operators, together with his consulting and training experience, will bring a great value to our clients.”

Tobias Kern, Managing Partner fleetcompetence Group, adds, “We are very pleased that Johan has joined fleetcompetence, adding his very rich expertise to the international team. Considering the fleet market  changing more quickly than ever before, we strongly believe that the demand for independent fleet consulting will continue to grow.”
