GPS Insight won the Spirit of Enterprise Award for Innovation in Entrepreneurship last week, Arizona State University’s 17th annual award. The awards luncheon was hosted by ASU’s W.P. Carey School of Business and recognized Arizona businesses for ethics, energy, and excellence in entrepreneurship. About 700 local area business and community leaders attended the awards event at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Phoenix.
The award recognizes GPS Insight’s focus on constantly advancing its product in terms of new, innovative, and beneficial technologies in GPS fleet tracking. Using GPS Insight for the past nine years, customers have achieved hundreds of millions of dollars in ROI, and have cut emissions of greenhouse gases by over one hundred thousand tons. The ASU award followed soon after GPS Insight being ranked to the Fast 500 for the third consecutive year with 149% growth, and was only one of five Arizona companies to be ranked this year.
As for the ASU award, Gary Naumann, director of the Spirit of Enterprise Center at the W.P. Carey School of Business, said, “The distinguishing trait of all our 2013 honorees is the great story behind their products and services. Hard work and unwavering determination to succeed are key facets of these new Spirit alumni.”
