Global Fleet Professionals Build Skills at NAFA’s International Fleet Academy

For a limited time, attendees who register before September 30 can take advantage of early-bird pricing.

NAFA’s International Fleet Academy (IFA) is the lens that provides fleet professionals with global duties both the micro and macro snapshot they need to take informed and proactive actions. The fourth annual International Fleet Academy will take place November 5-7 at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida. This 3-day conference was designed specifically to meet the needs of those who manage fleets outside of the United States and Canada.

NAFA’s International Fleet Academy offers fleet professionals the tools to gain understanding, and the opportunity to discuss the problems and challenges they’re facing with some of the brightest minds in global fleet management. Ross Durkin, Managing Editor for the FleetWorld Group, based in St. Albans, U.K., will be involved with the presentation Global Trends – What Fleet Managers Need to Know. He has nearly 30 years of experience in the fleet market, starting as a sales executive for Avis Car Leasing in 1984, up to becoming a full-time motoring journalist in 1991 as editor of Business Car magazine. Durkin has extensive involvement in the strategic direction of all Fleet World publications and events.

Fred Turco, Senior Director, Pfizer, Inc., will present a discussion on “Global Information Systems.” Turco will share his wealth of experience about how Pfizer developed a global fleet management information system (GFMIS) to gather data from over 80 different countries.

Presented from a fleet executive’s perspective, “Global Information Systems” will cover KPIs—including the importance of getting the global fleet organizations behind the concept of KPIs—and the importance of measuring and not under or over-measuring statistics. Turco will also discuss his experience with telematics relating to driver controls and awareness issues.

NAFA’s International Fleet Academy helps attendees build the specialized skills needed for the expanding and changing fleet environment across diverse world markets. They will leave with a standard of excellence for their dealings within and outside their organization, with customers, suppliers, and drivers among others. The conference is a “must” for companies and organizations with global fleets, as well as corporate global fleet managers; corporate fleet directors; procurement specialists; corporate executives with reporting responsibility for their organization’s fleet operations; fleet personnel who assist fleet managers and directors in their global fleet operations; and fleet managers, directors, and executives who want to learn more about multi-national fleet operations.

“In any professional’s career, you need the straight news; no additions, no exaggerations,” said NAFA Chief Executive Officer Phillip E. Russo, CAE. “NAFA’s International Fleet Academy features sessions that will help global fleet managers know how to get and maintain that credible information, and should be a must for every fleet manager handling fleets by long distance.”

For a limited time, attendees who register before September 30 can take advantage of early-bird pricing. More information is available at: www.nafafleetacademy.org
