Donlen’s Scott Knabe, Director Of Network & Telecom, Receives 2020 Ones To Watch Award From IDG/IDC

Scott Knabe, Donlen director of network & telecom, has been named an honoree of the 2020 Ones to Watch Award from IDG’s and IDC’s CIO Executive Councils.

This prestigious award spotlights rising technology leaders who have what it takes to become C-level business technology executives of tomorrow.

Scott manages Donlen’s network, IT infrastructure, and telecommunications systems as well as provides DevOps, a set of practices that combine software development and information technology operations, required to complete Donlen’s aggressive technology roadmap of projects supporting its entire business. Scott also leads and implements Donlen’s security roadmap, disaster recovery, and ensures Donlen’s employees and customers continue to receive near-perfect uptime and system performance.

“When Scott joined Donlen, he transformed the infrastructure team into a highly-motivated group of certified engineers in the areas of networking, computing, and security,” said Donlen’s Dennis Straight, chief technology officer. “Scott couldn’t have come at a more critical time as security and scalability play more dominant roles than ever. With our customers’ data in mind, he is leading our information security strategy and security roadmap, including enhancing our formal security governance process and adding new company-wide security programs. As a result of Scott’s work, Donlen continues to have the advantage of secure data for all of our customers.”

“As CIOs become more involved in corporate-wide decisions and objectives, reliance on qualified and talented people within their IT organizations to manage key projects is critical to overall business success,” notes Tim Scannell, director of strategic content at the CIO Executive Council. “The Ones to Watch Awards are an effective way to acknowledge the success of those individuals who have the right mix of technology and management skills to maintain continuity, drive innovation and lead solutions teams. The awards also affirm, on a global stage, that recipients have the capabilities that position them as future leaders in the industry.”

Scott will accept the 2020 Ones to Watch award at the AGENDA20 Conference held March 23-25 at the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
