U.S. auto loans jumped 5.5% to $682 billion during the second quarter, though the balance of those loans remained lower than the same quarter in 2007, prior to the start of the recession, according Experian Automotive. The 30-day delinquency rate during the second quarter was 2.52%, down from 2.59% during the same quarter a year ago.
