On 20 July 2016, Dr. Will Murray, Research Director of Interactive Driving Systems, will be cycling from London to Paris to raise much needed funds for Brake, the UK-based global road safety charity.
Will, who for many years led projects on road safety at the University of Huddersfield, has been a supporter of Brake since attending the charity’s launch event at the Houses of Parliament in 1995. He has worked closely with the charity for over 20 years on a range of industry shaping projects covering topics such as road safety benchmarking, collision data analysis, safe vehicle reversing, leadership, communications, as well as the relationship between corporate and community road safety.
Brake cares for road crash victims through a helpline and support literature and also campaigns for safer streets, engaging communities, schools and corporate organizations in road safety awareness.
As a regular cyclist since the 1970s, Will read about this fabulous fundraiser in a charity newsletter and felt it the perfect opportunity to support Brake and combine his interests in sustainable travel, road safety and cycling.
