Vontier’s Driivz Releases Version 9, Enabling EV Charging Networks to Scale, Achieve Operational Excellence and Profitability

Vontier's Driivz Releases Version 9, Enabling EV Charging Networks to Scale, Achieve Operational Excellence and Profitability

Driivz’s Platform Version 9 provides maximum network stability and availability, streamlined fleet EV charging operations, optimized revenue generation, and new smart energy management capabilities to allow global EV charging networks of all sizes to increase profitability while scaling seamlessly

Driivz, a Vontier company and a leading global software supplier to EV charging operators and service providers, announced the release of the latest version of its electric vehicle (EV) charging and energy management software platform. The Driivz Platform Version 9 is available to Driivz customers, currently operating in over 30 countries across North America, Europe and APAC, and will be an invaluable resource for EV charging networks seeking to provide reliable charging while achieving energy resilience.

The built-to-scale Platform V9 arms EV charging providers with data-driven actionable insights, network optimization tools and new smart energy management solutions, designed to streamline operations, optimize revenue generation, and maximize profits. The Platform V9 is tailored to support expansion of even the largest EV charging networks.

“Charging network operators need solutions that scale alongside both their networks and their energy needs,” said Andrew Bennett, CEO of Driivz. “What sets Driivz apart is the unique combination of deep industry knowledge, unmatched access to data, and strategic investment in R&D. Together, these strengths allow us to create more complete, connected solutions that give our customers a competitive edge. We’re not just building technology – we’re driving industry transformation.”

The Platform V9 features four distinct market-leading pillars of EV charging and end-to-end energy management:

  1. Optimized Revenue Generation
  • Detailed Cost Breakdown: Unmatched cost visibility for network operators on the new Invoices page, for fleet operators in Driivz InSite™, and for drivers through the mobile app and web portal.
  • Granular Monetization: Network operators can now configure idle time and overstay penalties for vehicles that charge for too long or are connected but not charging. Credit card payments can now be authorized incrementally as a charging session progresses, and partial pre-authorization on smaller amounts enables charging sessions that, previously, would not have been authorized.
  • Streamlined Operations and Compliance: Automated tariff updates can now be implemented on chargers, to improve operational efficiency. Also, running EV charging costs are now sent to chargers for display to support CTEP compliance.
  • Reporting Engine and Revenue Dashboard: Operators can now analyze revenue data across nearly any parameter – by date, per city, per tariff, by charger model, and more, using Tableau-powered data visualization to optimize revenue generation.

  1. Maximized Network Stability and Availability

Built on a powerful monitoring engine, Driivz’s new Network Optimizer enables users to define personalized, business-driven triggers tailored to their specific needs. It then constantly monitors any part of the EV charging network specified by the operator, resolving issues before they impact performance to ensure the highest levels of stability and availability. The resulting improved uptime enables network operators to capture more charging sessions, resulting in increased revenue while reducing operational and maintenance costs.

  1. Maximized Profit with Smart Energy ManagementDriivz’s enhanced Energy Management System (EMS) is built to meet the diverse energy challenges of the EV charging ecosystem. Designed with flexibility at its core, it supports multiple use cases – whether orchestrated centrally from the cloud for scalability and wide portfolio optimization or managed locally on site for real-time responsiveness where required.

  • Load Management: Ensures network operators get more from their existing power connection through smart charging algorithms that optimize the distribution of available power.
  • And new capabilities including:
    • Site Integration: Provides unified control of all energy assets across a site.
    • Grid Cost Control: Reduces network operators’ biggest operational costs.
    • Advanced Grid Services: Turns chargers into profit centers through demand response, ancillary services, Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) services, and more, creating additional revenue streams for network operators.
    • Analytics and Insights: Enables data-driven energy operations across all layers.

  1. Streamlined Fleet Charging Operations

  • Depot Operator View: A mobile view of the Driivz InSite™ for Fleets platform allows depot operators to optimize both fleet EV turnaround and depot charger utilization, while preventing overcharging. This ensures seamless and timely dispatch of fleet EVs while minimizing depot charging energy costs.
  • Book & Charge: Cross-scheduling for fleets managed under the same service provider transforms depot EV charging from a single-fleet operation into a shared resource to ensure fleets have access to high-powered charging while maximizing charger utilization. Creates predictable and scheduled charging stops for Heavy Duty Vehicle (HDV) drivers.
  • State-of-Charge Based Energy Planning: Fleet managers can streamline fleet operations by prioritizing EVs for charging, based on State of Charge (SoC) parameters, to meet the fleet’s business needs.
  • Home Charging Support: Fleet operators have full oversight over home charging, enabling them to reimburse drivers while providing them with full transparency at the charging session level. At the same time, drivers can reduce home charging energy costs through cost optimization that takes advantage of utility tariffs and scheduled, off-peak charging.

The Driivz Platform V9 provides unmatched levels of insight, control, operational excellence, and energy resilience. Customers will enjoy the Platform’s scalability on both the network and the grid side of the charging environment and will benefit from reduced costs and industry leading technology.
