Merchants Fleet has hired Steve DiPiero as a Regional Sales Manager as part of the West Region, based in Chicago. DiPiero will be responsible for client relationship management and sales.
DiPiero is the most recent hire in Merchants Fleet’s FleetiQ initiative, an effort to hire the brightest talent in the fleet leasing industry.
“Steve is known as a subject matter expert in the field and has a superior track record of working with clients to deliver the best fleet results possible,” said Jeff Thomas, Regional Vice President of the West Region at Merchants Fleet. “We are thrilled to have him join the Merchants team when many businesses are seeking fleet expertise as they adapt their operations to changing market conditions.”
DiPiero has over 15 years of sales experience in the fleet leasing and automotive industries. He is a top-ranked sales executive with a proven track record in prospecting, negotiating, and closing multi-million-dollar deals. He is known as a subject matter expert in fleet management, leasing, transportation, and mobility. Recently he was Director of Mobility & Business Development at Donlen, where he created and grew their mobility department, developed products, and managed client relationships. Prior to launching the mobility department, he served as an Account Executive and a Vice President of Business Development and won multiple awards for sales and acquiring new business. DiPiero has a bachelor’s degree in communications & sociology from DePaul University. He is based in the Chicago area.
