SambaSafety Names Matthew Betz VP of Fleet Channels

SambaSafety® today announced that Matthew Betz has joined the company as the Vice President of Fleet Channels. In this role, Betz is responsible for business development and partnerships between SambaSafety and fleet management companies throughout the United States.

“The addition of Matt to the SambaSafety team greatly enhances our ability to deliver industry leading driver risk management services to our fleet management partners,” said Chris McKay, president of SambaSafety. “Matt Betz brings a strong combination of industry knowledge and technology-driven business development efforts that will benefit both our partners and their customers.”

Betz joins SambaSafety with more than 30 years of industry experience leading critical sales and business development initiatives that help organizations reduce fleet costs, increase driver productivity, and reduce the administration associated with running a fleet. In addition, Betz has served on a number of boards and committees for the NAFA Fleet Management Association, the Automotive Fleet Leasing Association (AFLA), and Network of Employers for Traffic Safety (NETS). He is an instructor for the NAFA FMS series and frequent presenter at NAFA I&E.

McKay added: “We remain committed to developing the next generation of driver risk management solutions and analytics that improve driver performance, reduce accidents, and limit risk for our customers. Matt’s expertise in the fleet market will be integral in our continued effort to improve driver and community safety.”

“I have always had a passion for driver safety and helping fleet organizations create transformative safety programs. Improving driver safety is one of the biggest challenges facing every organization today,” said Betz. “SambaSafety’s technology is instrumental for any organization concerned about driver safety programs and best practices. I’m thrilled to be part of the SambaSafety team.”
