NAFA Opens Applications for the 2025 100 Best Fleets in the Americas, Introducing New Award and Criteria

NAFA Opens Applications for the 2025 100 Best Fleets in the Americas, Introducing New Award and Criteria

NAFA Fleet Management Association (NAFA), the leading membership organization for fleet professionals, is excited to announce that applications for the prestigious 2025 100 Best Fleets in the Americas are now open. The competition recognizes excellence in fleet management across North, Central and South America, celebrating the achievements of both commercial and public fleets.

The 2025 competition introduces a series of exciting updates, including a new Tom Johnson Award designed to honor an exceptional fleet professional who has demonstrated a commitment to improving both their fleet operations and the industry as a whole. The recipient of the Tom Johnson Award will be hand-selected by a panel of judges and NAFA Leadership, and the winner will be announced ahead of the 2025 Institute & Expo (I&E).

In addition to the 100 Best Fleets awards, NAFA will also recognize the Fleet Professional of the Year and the Fleet Technician of the Year, both of which will be awarded to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, technical expertise and a dedication to improving fleet operations. These awards highlight the invaluable contributions of fleet professionals and technicians in advancing the industry.

This year, the public contest criteria have been updated to reflect the evolving priorities of the fleet management industry. The Collaboration and Creativity criteria have been merged into a single category, and a new focus on Energy Management has been introduced. This new criterion highlights how fleets power their vehicles and the environmental impact of their energy choices, underscoring the growing importance of sustainability in fleet operations.

“The 100 Best Fleets in the Americas competition is a celebration of innovation, leadership and the hard work fleet professionals put into shaping the future of fleet management,” said Mike Camnetar, CAFM, NAFA Board President. “This year’s updates to the contest criteria and the introduction of the Tom Johnson Award provide new ways to recognize those who are not only advancing their own fleets but also raising the bar for the entire industry.”

Applications for the 2025 100 Best Fleets are now open and will close on January 31, 2025. The winners will be unveiled at the 2025 NAFA Institute & Expo (I&E), taking place April 28-30, 2025, in Long Beach, California. I&E 2025 promises to be an event full of educational sessions, networking opportunities and insights from top fleet professionals and industry leaders.
