Marching Forward: Fuel prices dropped in March, falling from $3.32 in February to $3.12 nationally, according to Motus data. Despite the decline in costs at the pump, business mileage rose across all U.S. regions, suggesting increased field activity and renewed momentum in corporate travel as the quarter progressed.
Data from Motus shows that national fuel prices lowered to $3.12 in March 2025, compared to $3.32 in February, and still lower than March 2024 when pricing was at $3.16.

Looking regionally, fuel prices in March remain the highest in the Western US at $4.05 and lowest in the Southern US at $2.81.
Looking at March business mileage trends by region in the US, business mileage was higher across the country with the West 7.77% higher than February, the South 6.58% higher, Northeast 14.26% higher, and the Midwest 9.41% higher.
