Seasonality and supplies are the two main drivers to the overall changes in the market. Black Book survey personnel are hearing about more activity within the actual sales conversion on the rental and commercial lanes, while dealer lanes had a slight increase in the number of no sales. Another point of interest – there were more offerings of higher mileage and rougher condition cars running on the lanes.

Looking at Actual Adjustments in Car and Truck Segments:
Cars continue to soften, trucks improved slightly week over week.
Cars Had Significant Increase in Segment Change Amount at -$78:
Biggest declines last seen weeks ending Sept. 14 and 21, 2012, at -$94 and -$87.
Trucks Saw Slight Improvement for Week Coming in at -$41:
Six of 14 segments declined by less than $30, led by $3 for Compact SUVs.
