Red Hawk Fire & Security saw a 68 percent drop in the number of accidents year-over-year and saved $1 million in liability costs by leveraging their fleet data and implementing a proactive driver safety training program.
Together with ARI’s Director of Driver Excellence Rich Radi, they will be sharing the steps they took to achieve this successful result at the upcoming 2017 Fleet Safety Conference. The session, “Making Your Fleet Safety Data Work for You,” will feature Blair Schober, U.S. fleet manager for Red Hawk and Radi, and will be held on July 25 at 11:15 a.m. in the Nirvana A meeting room.
The session will focus on a recent case study published by ARI, which detailed how Red Hawk partnered with ARI in 2014 in order to lower their accident rates. The national fleet was seeking a solution that would not only track and report the on-road activities of their drivers, but would also provide both proactive and corrective action if needed for drivers.
With the ARI Driver Excellence program, Red Hawk was able to deploy a two-pronged approach which included mandatory driver training and a robust telematics program which helped to identify and correct poor driver behavior before accidents ever occurred. The presentation will show how fleets can leverage data to proactively analyze trends and establish key performance indicators (KPI) for an optimized fleet safety program. It will also discuss other steps fleets can take to ensure the safety of their drivers and those around them.
“Our partnership with Red Hawk has been a great example of driver training, combined with advanced technologies and telematics can have a genuine impact on a fleet’s safety record and on the bottom line,” said Radi.
ARI will also be on hand at table #29, sharing insight and details on the ARI Driver Excellence suite of solutions, including the innovative ARI Driver Scorecard. This intuitive, data driven tool allows fleets to pull data from multiple sources and integrate it into a simple dashboard which ranks drivers and helps fleet or safety managers take immediate action to address the high risk drivers in their fleet while also recognizing those showing consistently good, safe driving behavior
The Fleet Safety Conference offers expert insights and practical education on improving fleet safety. Sessions will focus on the challenges of light, medium, and heavy-duty fleets as well as general sessions for all fleet types. It takes place at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center, July 25-26, 2017.
