We applaud John Round’s solution to confronting shorter winter days, colder weather, and fewer hours outside. Not one to sit around moping over winter dread, John, AVP of sales at Wheels, Inc., got busy with some self-improvement projects. And then he received an email from his alma mater asking him to join their mentor program to help kids navigate the corporate world.
But who has time for that? Well, John was intrigued. “So far, the experience has been far more exciting than researching my other self-improvement projects. I realize the excitement is about potentially helping someone else and getting out of my bubble by trying something new.”
Holly Hill, director of sales at FLD Remarketing and a 26-plus year veteran of the fleet industry, writes an introspective article about why she chose this time in her career to pursue CAFM accreditation.
Holly reports, “My newfound skills are driving me to be a better fleet professional. I’m more engaged in relevant industry topics, and while my fellow fleet professionals and I have been kept apart because of the pandemic, I know there will be a time when we can all come together and share our knowledge, refine best practices, and work to be the best we can.”
