The Enterprise Holdings Foundation Matches CLM’s Fund-Raising Efforts for Leukaemia Charity

The Enterprise Holdings Foundation, the charitable arm of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, has matched the fundraising efforts of fleet management specialist, CLM, in support of the Leukaemia Care charity.

Last Halloween, staff at Newport Pagnell-based CLM, along with colleagues from parent company Maxxia, raised money for leukaemia research from a variety of fund-raising activities.

These included wearing fancy dress costumes and wacky face paint; competitive cycling in reception, massages in the staff room, food sales in client services, and various competitions throughout the company.

The fund-raising efforts were especially poignant as a long serving and popular manager had been diagnosed with the disease and rushed into hospital for treatment.
In an effort to boost the amounted raised still further, CLM, which manages a fleet of around 14,000 vehicles on behalf of corporate clients across the UK, approached Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s philanthropic arm.

The Enterprise Holdings Foundation was established by Enterprise Rent-A-Car founder, Jack C. Taylor, to give something back to the communities in which its customers and employees live and work.

It provides charitable support to worthwhile, non-profit initiatives that are actively supported by the company’s employees or customers in the thousands of local communities where Enterprise operates.

CLM itself has a strategic relationship with Enterprise Rent-A-Car through its Commercial Vehicle Rental operation which provides short to medium hire vehicles to fleet and business customers.

A request was made to the Enterprise Holdings Foundation for a donation to Leukaemia Care to support the company’s Halloween fund-raising efforts. And, after the latest Foundation board meeting which was held recently, the request was approved and a cheque for a further £1,000 raised and issued.

CLM Managing Director, John Kelly said: “Our heartfelt thanks to Enterprise for their support in raising a charitable donation for Leukaemia Care, which echoed the Halloween fund-raising efforts of our staff at CLM and Maxxia.

“This has been particularly poignant for us as one of our own has been stricken down with the disease and we wish her the very speediest of recoveries,” he said.
