During Work Truck Week® 2025, Ben Winter, vice chairman/business development at Transfer Flow (Chico, California), was installed as 61st Board chair of NTEA – The Work Truck Association™. He accepted the position from immediate past Board chair Jason Ritchey, president/owner of Curry Supply Co. (Altoona, Pennsylvania).

“Serving our industry is such an important, meaningful undertaking,” said Winter. “Throughout my Board term, I’ve worked alongside some amazing people. This year, we have another remarkable group, and I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish.”

Since 1993, Ben has been driving success at Transfer Flow, a pioneering automotive manufacturing company renowned for its cutting-edge production technology and top-tier engineering.

Beginning his journey in sales management, he spearheaded significant growth initiatives, leveraging extensive experience to introduce service opportunities and deliver profitable projects. Today, his role is multifaceted, encompassing networking, customer relations management, new business presentations and navigating diverse manufacturing challenges.

He studied project management at Butte College, and business ethics and speech/debate at California State University, Chico. He’s been active as an advisor or board member for many different manufacturing business associations, including Specialty Equipment Market Association, National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association, California Air Resources Board, Environmental Protection Agency and National Association of Manufacturers. In addition, he served as vice chair at Chico Chamber of Commerce; board member for EveryBody Healthy Body and Chico Legislative Action; and mentor at Chico Chamber’s Young Professionals Organization and Chico Striders (youth running club).

He became interested in NTEA Board involvement to collaborate and contribute to industry growth and development. Since serving on the Board, he’s been involved with these committees:

  • Board Development & Recruitment (chair)
  • Business Development
