Avis Car Rental Launches New Avis Now Features for Mobile App

Avis Car Rental has announced a major overall to the company’s mobile app with the addition of the new Avis Now features, which will allow customers to control every detail of the rental process.

As part of the Avis Now innovations, customers will be able to select their rental car in real time by swiping the app until they find a vehicle that suits their needs. In addition, travelers can extend their rental or view their rental agreement through Avis Now.

The new app’s features also include the ability to lock and unlock doors, flash the headlights to help find the car, and it allows customers to return the vehicle without assistance by simply using Avis Now on a smartphone.

“Our customers are not shy about telling us what they think can be better in car rental. Avis Now was designed to seize those opportunities — with technology that gives customers what they want today and anticipates their future needs as more connected vehicles hit the road,” Avis Budget Group executive vice president Scott Deaver said in a statement.

“Technology is drastically reshaping the car rental experience for our customers — and for the better. As smartphones and connected cars increase in number around the globe, we’re thinking through all the possibilities and ensuring that Avis continues to lead the industry with innovation.”

One feature all travelers should appreciate from Avis Now is the real-time notifications about their trip, including assistance on demand and rental agreement information.

The car rental company’s new app features can be used at more than 50 locations across the United States.
