AFLA Highlights New Board Members

The Automotive Fleet and Leasing Association (AFLA) recently welcomed the newly elected Secretary and Directors for the 2017-2019 term to its Board. These individuals will provide strategic vision, insight and direction through their elected positions and lend varied expertise and a depth of industry knowledge to the association. The first meeting of the new Board of Directors is slated to begin on November 30, 2017 in Orlando, Florida which will also be the host city for the AFLA 2018 Corporate Fleet Conference.

Secretary – Katie Keeton has worked with Siemens since 2003 and has spent the last nine years as a Fleet Account Manager & Procurement Specialist supporting the Siemens Building Technologies fleet of 5,000 vehicles. After joining AFLA in 2014 and going on to hold the secretary position in 2015, Katie is dedicated and inspired by the fleet industry.

Director of Allied – Jonathan Culp has been the Director of Fleet and Leasing with Dejana Truck & Utility Equipment since 2013. He leads a team focused on improving fleet ROI by increasing driver productivity through custom upfit packages. He has worked in the fleet industry since 2004 and has been an AFLA member since 2010.

Director of Dealers – Kristen Napleton is President/CEO of Napleton Fleet Group. Kristen has over 20 years of experience as a General Manager for a number of dealerships. In 2010, after moving back to the Chicago area, Kristen joined the Napleton Fleet Group, eventually buying out the majority shareholder in 2014. In 2017, Napleton Fleet Group was certified by the WBENC as a Women’s Business Enterprise. Kristen has been an AFLA member since 2011.

Director of Remarketing – Steve Bender is Vice President of Fleet Street Remarketing. He became part of their team in 2002. Steve and his new team designed and implemented the first version of webVRS, an intelligent, ergonomic vehicle remarketing system. Steve has been an AFLA member since 2016. Mary Sticha, AFLA President welcomed the new Board members by saying, “We are privileged to have these individuals join our Board of Directors. Not only do they add a wide ranging breadth of experience to our organization, but they are passionate about serving AFLA and bringing value to our members.“

Based in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, AFLA promotes growth, expansion and professionalism within the fleet industry by providing education, research, technical standards, representation and advancement of member interests. AFLA has over six hundred members representing all industry segments, including fleet managers and sourcing professionals, auto manufacturers and dealers, remarketers, maintenance and repair companies and many other specialized suppliers.

The organization also hosts educational webinars, releases industry whitepapers, global fleet market data and offers opportunities for members to network with key leaders throughout the fleet industry.
