The Next Evolution of Fleet Partnership at Moventum Fleet Management

The Next Evolution of Fleet Partnership at Moventum Fleet Management

By Mark Hogland, President, Moventum Fleet Management

May 20, 2026

As Union Leasing transitions to Moventum Fleet Management, one of the questions we’ve been asked most often is what this change means for our clients and how we’ll support fleets moving forward.

Mark Hogland, Moventum President

The answer is straightforward: the foundation of our business is not changing. In many ways, the new brand simply gives us a clearer way to describe who we’ve become.

For decades, clients have known us for a highly responsive, relationship-driven approach to fleet management. While some describe it as “fleet concierge,” we increasingly think of it in simpler terms: personalized, tailored service built around each client’s operational needs.

That philosophy continues to define our business today.

What has changed is the role fleet management now plays within organizations. Fleet has become more strategic, more operationally connected, and more important to overall business performance than ever before. Clients are looking for partners who can help optimize the full vehicle lifecycle while remaining responsive, accessible, and invested in long-term success.

That is the role Moventum Fleet Management is uniquely positioned to serve.

A Brand That Reflects Who We’ve Become
Union Leasing built a strong reputation over the last 70 years through service, fleet expertise, and long-term relationships. Those principles remain firmly intact.

At the same time, our capabilities have expanded significantly. Today, our work extends far beyond leasing transactions. We help organizations manage acquisition strategy, upfitting, maintenance management, lifecycle optimization, remarketing, and overall fleet performance.

The Moventum name reflects that broader role.

Derived from the ideas of movement and momentum, Moventum represents progress, forward motion, and helping clients operate more efficiently across the full fleet lifecycle. The new brand better aligns with the strategic role we now play for many organizations.

At the same time, an important part of this next chapter is how we continue building the company internally.

In 2025, we became employee-owned through an ESOP structure, which strengthened our focus on long-term growth, accountability, and client success. Employee ownership reinforces a mindset that has always existed here — one where our people approach relationships with care, consistency, and a sense of responsibility for the outcome.

For clients, that translates into a team that remains personally invested in helping their fleet succeed over the long term.

Why Personalized Service Still Matters
The fleet industry continues to evolve rapidly. Rising costs, changing vehicle technologies, utilization demands, and operational complexity are reshaping expectations across the market.

As a result, many organizations are looking for more than a transactional provider. They want a fleet partner that understands their business and stays engaged beyond the initial agreement.

That is where personalized service becomes increasingly important.

At Moventum, clients work with experienced teams who know their operations, understand their priorities, and remain accessible when challenges arise. Our employees have an average tenure of more than 15 years, and many client relationships have lasted more than a decade. That continuity creates trust, operational familiarity, and stronger long-term outcomes.

Personalized service is not about being high-touch for the sake of appearances. It is about staying close enough to the client to anticipate needs, solve problems proactively, and help fleets perform more effectively over time.

That approach continues to differentiate us in a very competitive industry.

Carrying the Legacy Forward
Moventum is not a departure from our history. It is the next evolution of it.

Our company was built on relationships, responsiveness, and a long-term view of partnership. Those values have guided us for seven decades and continue to shape how we invest in the future.

As part of Sasser, an organization with nearly 100 years of experience across transportation and asset management, we benefit from deep industry expertise and operational stability. We also continue expanding our capabilities to better support clients through changing business demands and fleet complexity.

What matters most to us is strengthening the client experience.

That is why we remain focused on investing in our people, systems, and facilities while preserving the personalized support model that clients have trusted for generations.

At the end of the day, being an employee-owned company benefits our clients most. Because when you work with Moventum Fleet Management, you’re partnering with a company where every person supporting your fleet has a real stake in your success.

We’re not simply managing vehicles. We’re helping organizations move forward with confidence, continuity, and long-term perspective.

Our commitment to tailored service, trusted relationships, and long-term partnership remains exactly the same. And as we continue investing in the people, partnerships, and capabilities that move our clients forward, we’re doing it with the long term in mind, not simply for the next quarter, but for the next century.
