Approximately 200 individuals walk more than 700 miles during five charity events throughout the fall
Holman Automotive Group and ARI raised nearly $10,000 through donations and participation in a variety of fundraising walks during October and November in support of several charitable initiatives. Together, approximately 200 Holman Automotive and ARI employees along with their family and friends walked more than 700 miles in support of these tremendously worthy causes.
“Our philanthropic endeavors always have been and will remain a core component of our corporate philosophy and I continue to be amazed by our employees’ dedication to this shared vision,” said Holman Automotive President and Chief Executive Officer Mindy Holman. “We are incredibly proud of their generosity and commitment to each of these organizations that directly impact the community in which we live and work. It is an honor to support these remarkable charitable initiatives and we look forward to continuing to do so for many years to come.”
Together, Holman and ARI participated in the following charity walks:
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer — The American Cancer Society events took place on October 19 in Ocean City, New Jersey as well as October 26 at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken, New Jersey, raising funds and awareness to support the fight against breast cancer. Holman and ARI have supported this inspiring walk for more than 20 years

JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes — Employees, family and friends participated in the walk which helps to raise funds for the millions of people living with and affected by Type 1 diabetes. The event was held at the Waterfront at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, New Jersey on October 26.
Walk to End Alzheimer’s — The walk helps to support the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to raise money and awareness to support research to treat and prevent Alzheimer’s. This year’s event took place on November 9 at Citizen’s Bank Park in Philadelphia.
Additionally, throughout September and October, both Holman and ARI encouraged employees to support these commendable charities by offering employees the opportunity to purchase hand-made bracelets in colors corresponding to each cause. Employees were also able to participate in a pumpkin decorating contest by making a $5 donation. Proceeds from each of these fundraising efforts were divided amongst each of the charity walks.
All told, approximately 200 individuals participated in the five events, combining to walk more than 700 miles and, along with the additional donations collected, raised nearly $10,000 for the four organizations.
