Wheels Inc.and Qmerit, a leader in green energy transformation, have partnered to deliver electrification technology that enables companies to fulfill their employee’s residential electric vehicle (EV) charging needs.
“In many ways, the future of EVs is dependent on at-home charging technology. According to a McKinsey report, EV owners who have access to home charging will have 75% of their EV energy needs fulfilled,” said Laura Jozwiak, senior vice president of sales and client relations and executive chair of the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) program at Wheels. “Through this partnership, we can help bring relief to a portion of the range anxiety that restricts some organizations from realizing their EV program goals.”
The partnership incorporates Qmerit’s U.S. Charge@Home fleet solution into EcoWheels’ EV Assessment and ordering process, eliminating the need for organizations to assess, locate and pay for their charging installation. Therefore, before an EV is ordered, charger installation viability is determined. After the vehicle is ordered, payment, delivery and installation logistics are automatically triggered. In addition, EV drivers receive on-going support from Wheels’ award-winning customer service center and Qmerit’s concierge program.
“Being at the forefront of the Charge@Home electric vehicle movement puts Qmerit in a unique position to help fleet owners achieve their carbon reduction goals through a structured, predictable process. Through our collaboration with Wheels, we are excited to bring their fleet customers across the country into the age of electrification,” said Ken Sapp, SVP of business development at Qmerit.
