CEI to Show NPTC Conference Attendees Three Ways Work Truck Fleets Can Save Millions of Dollars

The CEI Group Inc. (CEI) will show attendees at the National Private Truck Council’s 2015 Education and Management Conference next week how it has saved work trucks fleets millions of dollars a year in accident-related expenses.

“CEI saves truck fleets money by preventing accidents,  recovering accident repairs costs from third-party drivers and reducing repair expenses,” said Luann Dunkerley, the CEI regional sales manager heading the company’s team at the event  Cincinnati, Ohio from Sunday, April 26-28. CEI will be exhibiting at Booth # 933 in the Duke Energy Center.

At its booth, CEI will be presenting case studies based on the savings it has produced for 9 fleets ranging in size from 2,400 to 20,000 vehicles.  In 2014, CEI prevented more than 2,600 accidents and generated savings of $13.7 million for these fleets in net direct expenses alone, Ms. Dunkerley said.

Ms. Dunkerley explained that CEI prevents accidents through its online fleet driver safety application, DriverCare, which scores drivers based on the accidents, traffic violations and other data, and automatically enforces a fleet’s safety policy.  CEI’s quality control department finds savings by scrutinizing every collision shop repair estimate, and its loss recovery department finds recovery potential in 25% of the accident claims CEI handles, and recovers an average of 95% of the funds it pursues, she said.

“Fleets are under constant pressure to reduce expenses, and many fleets continue to overlook the opportunity for savings from the way they approach and respond to accidents,” Ms. Dunkerley said.
