ARI to Lead Fleet Knowledge Sessions at the 2017 NAFA I&E

ARI® will be leading a number of key educational sessions at the annual NAFA Institute & Expo, scheduled for April 25-28, 2017, in Tampa, Florida.

Kicking off the conference will be an ARI sponsored keynote address by noted leadership guru Doug Keeley, who will share his thoughts on “Leading in Tumultuous Times.”

Keeley, who is the CEO and Chief Storyteller for The Mark of a Leader, has spent more than a decade helping companies like Starbucks, Microsoft and Coca-Cola understand how masterful storytelling can inspire employees and drive performance.

Chris Conroy, president & CEO of Holman Business Services and president of ARI, will also offer his insight and perspective when he joins industry peers on a revisited fleet management executive panel, scheduled for Thursday, April 27, at 9 am in the East Exhibit Hall of the Tampa Convention Center. Conroy’s portion of the session will focus on leadership and professional development within the industry and the critical need to support learning opportunities like the annual conference as technology and advancements in the automotive industry shape how companies manage their fleets.

Tony Candeloro, vice president of product development at ARI, will present a “Better Way to Benchmark” on Tuesday, April 25, at 2 p.m. in Room 18/19. Candeloro will outline the benefits of statistical analysis and scorecarding as a way to drive peak fleet performance. As fleets are faced with increasing access to more and more data, it becomes essential to not just see what is happening with a fleet, but have tools that help decipher why things are happening so proactive changes can be made. Candeloro will discuss the importance of comparing a fleet against other top performing fleets and how statistical analysis can help drive down costs and improve critical areas like driver safety.

ARI Marketing Manager Peter Nogalo will present to Canadian fleet managers on how changes announced earlier this month to Canada’s marijuana laws will impact fleet operators. The session, on Tuesday, April 25, at 3:15 pm in Room 13/14, will focus specifically on changes to impairment laws and road-side sobriety checks.

Harvey Smith, director product development, will join a panel of industry experts to offer insights on “Fleet Disrupted: Innovations in the Sharing Economy and Their Lessons for Fleet.” Ted Graham, head of open innovation at General Motors, and Jon Coleman, Ph.D, fleet sustainability & advanced technology manager at Ford Motor Company, will round out the panel. Graham authored the recently published e-book “The Uber of Everything” about his experience as an UberX driver and lessons learned about disruptive innovation. The sharing session will happen on Thursday, April 27, at 3:00 pm in room 15/16.

ARI will also introduce key concepts around proactively identifying and addressing critically fleet issues before they present as problem. ARI’s new microsite www.SeenItComing.com, which will focus on best practices around six critical fleet management challenges, will be launched in consort with the industry leading conference and expo.
