Wheels has been named a finalist in three “Stevie” American Business Award categories for 2014.
Wheels’ new public website made the shortlist for Best Web Writing/Content, while the company’s Results + performance management methodology received was nominated in one of the Best New Product or Service categories. The Wheels Client Analytics group was also named a finalist for Support Team of the Year. Wheels will ultimately win a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Stevie in each category. Last year, Wheels completed an extensive renovation of its public website – www.wheels.com. The new site features enhanced navigation, content and graphics designed to provide enhanced levels of usability.
“Our website revamp was driven by a changing marketplace that has come to favor sites with…results-based content that speaks to a variety of audiences,” said Gail Wheeler, Senior Director of Marketing at Wheels. “Our new website more succinctly focuses on results while still articulating our competitive differentiators.” Wheels also refined and branded its longstanding strategic account management approach. last year. Now known as Results+, the company’s award-winning performance management methodology focuses on short-and long-term strategic account plans that are customized to fit each client’s specific needs.
“Through customized business plans, proprietary segmentation models and regular account performance reviews, Results+ helps Wheels’ clients clearly identify areas of focus and quantify results,” said Laura Jozwiak, Wheels’ Vice President of Client Relations. “Our clients have praised the accurate, succinct and actionable way in which data is presented and used to drive sound fleet-wide decisions.” Jozwiak added that while Results+ entails a big-picture focus on ensuring continuous improvement for each customer’s fleet, it can also be used to drive success for the individual elements of a client’s servicing profile. This is accomplished through new Results+ Modules, which are data-driven, client-specific work products that provide strategic guidance and results mapping on focused fleet topics, such as fuel, risk and remarketing.
Wheels complemented its Results+ initiative with a sweeping staff realignment that fosters a more synergistic relationship between Wheels’ behind-the-scenes Client Analytics team and its client-facing Account Managers. By focusing on direct collaboration between the two teams, Wheels created a process that streamlines the way each client’s fleet data is generated, analyzed and communicated.
“Client Analytics has implemented a dynamic new tracking arrangement through which Account Managers make data requests and work directly with our analysts to determine the desired deliverables and timeframe,” said Bob Black, Director of Client Analytics at Wheels. Black said that the realignment has helped streamline a number of existing data analytics processes at Wheels while also paving the way for a host of new applications. Among these is a new Vehicle Replacement Analysis tool that uses current automotive resale market performance data to help the company accurately forecast replacement economics and optimize vehicle replacement schedules for its clients.
