Guidelines – NADA Used Car Guide – May 2012
For May, NADA is predicting that prices relative to April will be down by a modest 0.6% due primarily to a slight seasonal contraction in demand. NADA expects used prices in June will fall by 0.4% from May’s expected level,
Although NADA Adjusted Annual Forecast Down Slightly:
Still expect prices to grow by 1% through end of year (vehicles up to 5 years in age).
Gasoline Prices Should Remain at Elevated Levels through Summer:
Continue to benefit used compact and mid-size car prices, and downward pressure to truck prices.
AuctionNet Wholesale Prices Improved Again in April:
Result in line w/ NADA’s prediction that used prices would peak during middle of month.
