Driving Safety has exclusively focused on behind the wheel safety issues, but this month we take a little twist…this month we’ll cover safety for those who share the road without a vehicle…pedestrians!
We are all both pedestrians and drivers. With 6,000 pedestrian traffic fatalities and 85,000 pedestrian injuries per year in the U.S., it is certainly a topic worth exploring.
Awareness and care must be exercised when we are behind the wheel as well as when walking in space shared with motor vehicles. Please read on for some important tips and practices we can implement to make us safer drivers and safer pedestrians.
