GE Capital Fleet Services has just rolled out some updates to its IntelliGauge tool, an online/mobile application that fleet managers can use to compare fuel costs and CO2 emissions for actual or theoretical fleets. The newest version of the application includes a wide range of alternative fuel vehicles for the first time – CNG, CNG conversion, electrics, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), and hybrids are now all included. IntelliGauge is optimized for mobile usage, is free to use and can be found at this link.
When you log into IntelliGauge, you’ll see national fuel prices and average vehicle mileage that can be edited based on your specific region/location. You’ll see regular and premium gasoline, diesel, and CNG per gallon prices. It allows for the comparison of thousands of vehicles, and is the only tool of its kind that allows for the comparison of vehicles from different manufacturers. Users can edit standard EPA MPG estimates to reflect actual observed values within a particular fleet, and modify the percentage of their electricity and CNG usage.
