Europe’s largest independent fleet management expert, Fleet Logistics, has launched a free of charge benchmarking and consultation facility for large international fleet operators for a limited period, aimed at optimizing their fleet spend.
Called QuickScan, the new move is in response to requests from large fleet operators to discuss how their fleets compared with others of similar size and profile.
QuickScan is available to all fleet operators with a minimum fleet size of 1,000 cars, and offers them the opportunity to benchmark their fleets against those of their peers. The facility then goes on to identify areas of potential cost and efficiency optimization, helping fleet operators to run their fleets more efficiently.
Any fleets interested in participating will be sent a detailed questionnaire to complete with details of their fleet. Each response received by Friday, February 27th next year to the email address [email protected] will then be reviewed by fleet management specialists at Fleet Logistics.
The outcome of the analysis will then be presented via one conference call back to the fleet operator. The service will operate on a first come, first served basis, based on the date of the receipt of the completed questionnaire.
QuickScan is an extension of the fleet consultancy service that Fleet Logistics launched at the start of this year and which has attracted high levels of interest from international fleet managers. Several new consultancy projects are now under way, considering a number of fleet topics and issues. These include projects looking at car policy reviews, in-depth fleet scans, pan-European fleet optimization, manufacturer and leasing company selection, benchmarking and green mobility.
Heading up the service is Thibault Alleyn, Director of Fleet and Mobility Consulting, who said: “It became apparent to us that there were a large number of international fleet operators who were very interested in a high level benchmarking of their fleets against those of their peers, both in terms of size and demographic type. The launch of QuickScan is in response to that demand, and we will endeavor to provide a high level benchmarking exercise for each completed fleet data questionnaire we receive. We will also pinpoint areas for potential improvement including areas of optimization and efficiencies.” .
If a more indepth review is requested, additional topics are asked to be analyzed, or if business cases are to be developed to quantify improvement areas, these are optional extra’s which are chargeable.
Since launching the consultancy service in January this year, drawing on over 20 years’ experience in the international fleet arena, Fleet Logistics had seen a high level of interest from international fleets, many projects have already been delivered. “Demand is coming from fleet operators with very different profiles and acquisition methods, some of whom are typical Fleet Logistics customers, while others are not,” said Alleyn.
“We have now delivered a number of consultancy projects across a broad spectrum of fleet issues. These projects are being executed by experienced consultants from each of the countries involved, which leads to extremely high satisfaction figures from our clients,” he added.
Until now there have been very few companies in the market with deep fleet expertise that could offer independent advisory services on an international level, while even fewer have the in-house expertise to link strategy to execution and measurement.
“We are focused on creating a holistic vision for the fleet as well as ensuring that the ideas can be turned into reality. Thanks to our operational know-how, we know which strategic initiatives can effectively be implemented and generate a return,” Alleyn added.
The acquisition of Fleet Logistics by international certification giant, TÜV SÜD, more than two years ago, had extended its global reach and it now has access to operations and networks in more than 60 countries across the world, using TÜV SÜD infrastructure and market access.
