Donlen DriverPoint Mobile Telematics Now Available for iPhone and iPad
Donlen has launched DriverPoint® Mobile, the smartphone version of their award-winning DriverPoint® Telematics solution. DriverPoint Telematics users can now download the mobile version and have access to many of the same features in the full application. Available via the App Store, DriverPoint Mobile features include: Map: Similar to the web-based program, users can view all of their vehicles and their current statuses, including the ability to search by a driver’s name or Donlen Vehicle Number (DVN). Driver: From the Map, managers can select a driver by searching for their name or DVN in the search bar or by selecting their icon on the map. The map will refresh, displaying the route of the driver for the date specified. Events: Once a vehicle is selected, managers can view all trip information for the specific day, and filter by what events they want to see. Daimler Chooses Garmin to Provide In-Dash Navigation
Daimler AG has selected Garmin International Inc. as global navigation provider for future Mercedes-Benz models. Garmin’s award-winning navigation will be fully integrated into Mercedes-Benz infotainment systems over the next four years. Building upon Garmin’s easy-to-use interface, advanced navigation functionality will be seamlessly integrated into the Mercedes-Benz infotainment systems to provide an efficient and intuitive experience. In addition to displaying navigation and maps on the in-dash display, users will have access to important driver information, such as next turn, at a glance on a second display, positioned behind the steering wheel. The Mercedes-Benz infotainment systems also allow users to control navigation functions through the system’s rotary controller or via voice command functionality. TomTom Extends Fleet Management Solution for Efficiently Managing Mobile Operations
TomTom has extended the integration possibilities for its fleet management solution to help companies manage their mobile operations more efficiently. TomTom Business Solutions allows third-party developers to create new applications for use in and around the vehicle. This is enabled by granting access to the Bluetooth channel on TomTom’s in-vehicle LINK device.
