ARI Opens its Sixth Call Center in Houston
ARI celebrated the grand opening of its newest state-of-the-art call center in Houston, on November 9. The facility, located at 13805 West Road, already employs nearly 50 local residents, and has the capacity to employ 185 individuals. It’s the sixth ARI call center in North America, and has been a strong market for ARI to access technicians certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence. Learn more
NREL Website Now Offers Fleets Tools for Analyzing Alternative Fuels
The US Dept. of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory has redesigned its website, gearing it more towards fleets managers and other channels of high-volume drivers. The new site explores five alternatives to gasoline – biodiesel, electricity, ethanol, natural gas and propane – and how much money they could save a company. Visitors can study several “what if” scenarios, such as replacing gas-powered vehicles with plug-in hybrids or converting trucks to run on natural gas. Learn more
